Twin Collective Kids

Hi, I’m Marcella the creator of Twin Collective which I design from my Melbourne home in Australia.  After having my twins Farrah & Harper in 2015, I later decided to listen to my “free spirit”.  I took time off from my 15 year career as a Womenswear & Denim designer to spend more time with my twins & create vintage inspired children’s denim & clothing.

Having struggled to get the twins dressed every morning whilst juggling full time work & regular overseas travel, I felt there was a lack of functional, classic inspired design & quality workmanship in the children’s wear market.

With my work trips mainly focused on hunting for women’s vintage inspiration, I often picked up vintage kids clothing from vintage shops in Tokyo, London or Rose Bowl flea market in LA during work trips.  I started sewing Flares & relaxed fitting Jeans for the twins with simple construction & elastic waists making it easy for Farrah & Harper to dress themselves!

Having spent my career drawing inspiration from 70s & 90s icons such as Jane Birkin, Farrah Fawcett, Stevie Nicks & Mick Jagger my passion for denim deepened during my time spent designing women’s collections for Wrangler Australia. Combined with my childhood memories of being a free spirited child growing up on a flower farm, riding horses & sewing with my mother, Twin Collective was born in 2018.  I launched the Farrah Flare in 2019 & later added the relaxed 90s inspired Jagger Jean & Teen Spirit Overall in 2020.
